
Francesca Fernandez, M.A.
Francesca Fernandez, M.A. is a doctoral candidate who provides individual and family therapy for children, teens, adults and families.

Francesca “Frenchy” Fernandez is a doctoral extern in Clinical Psychology who provides psychotherapy and assessment services for children, adolescents, emerging adults, and families. She takes a collaborative approach, engaging individuals, families, and other key health professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. Skilled in evidence-based methods, Ms. Fernandez supports youth and families in building resilience and fostering well-being.
She brings six years of combined clinical and research experience working with diverse youth and their caregivers, including contributions to community-based assessment and feedback services. Her clinical work integrates cognitive-behavioral approaches as well as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), all within a family-centered framework.
Ms. Fernandez has provided individual therapy to college and graduate students for concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, and adjustment challenges. She also has experience in suicide-prevention research and training through the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) model and has worked collaboratively in multidisciplinary and hospital settings.
She is currently a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at The Catholic University of America. She earned her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University and her B.A. in Psychological Sciences from Colgate University.
