Rebecca Fritsch, Psy.D. sees children and adolescents who struggle with anxiety, ADHD, OCD, social skills, and behavioral problems. Dr. Fritsch uses cognitive behavioral and solution focused approaches to therapy. She is also trained in dialectical behavior therapy techniques, crisis response, and trauma-informed practices. She believes in meeting clients where they are at and using their strengths to promote positive progress.
Holistic approaches to care are essential for children, who succeed when their whole network is working to address their needs. Because family is such an important part of a child’s support system, Dr. Fritsch also provides support in developing positive parenting practices through both individual and group parent therapy. She additionally provides school consultation services for families who are looking to include the school as part of their child’s team. Dr. Fritsch works with schools and families to identify effective and feasible strategies that can be used at school and/or home to achieve optimal outcomes.
Dr. Fritsch has extensive experience in psychoeducational assessment and offers evaluations for concerns such as ADHD, learning disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and mood and anxiety disorders.
Dr. Fritsch earned her doctoral degree in school psychology at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She holds a masters degree in child psychology from Duquesne University and bachelors degree in psychology from Bucknell University. Dr. Fritsch completed her pre-doctoral internship in Loudoun County Public Schools where she then worked as a school psychologist before joining the team at CFA.
