A recipient of a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology, Dr. Berio completed her predoctoral internship at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Following that, she undertook a Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) fellowship with an Autism Specialization at Children’s National Medical Center. Dr. Berio furthered her expertise through postdoctoral training at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital. In this role, she conducted evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorders, delivered individual and family therapy, and contributed to a multidisciplinary diabetes team, enhancing child/adolescent treatment adherence and promoting coping and adjustment to chronic illness.
