Juliana Ellison, MSW
Juliana Ellison, MSW, is a clinician at Child & Family Associates of Greater Washington who brings a strong foundation in group and family therapy to her work with children, adolescents, and adults. She earned her Master of Social Work from the Boston College School of Social Work, with a concentration in Mental Health and a certificate in Trauma Studies.
Juliana has extensive experience facilitating CBT-, DBT-, and ACT-informed therapy groups within PHP and IOP levels of care, where she developed and led group curricula and provided psychoeducation alongside multidisciplinary treatment teams. She finds group work especially meaningful for the way it helps clients build connection, feel less alone, and practice new skills in real time.
Her interest in family therapy grew out of her coursework in family systems and relational dynamics, and she approaches treatment with an understanding that individual symptoms are often connected to the broader systems around a client. Juliana also brings hands-on experience with children and adolescents from school-based and behavioral health settings, including individual counseling, social-emotional learning groups, and after-school programming focused on emotional regulation and peer relationships.
Juliana values collaboration, strong supervision, and ongoing learning, and she is excited to bring her group and family therapy expertise to CFA’s clients and their families.
